If you have a guest room and would like to let it out, this section is for you!

Definition of a bed and breakfast 

Guest rooms are furnished rooms in private homes intended to accommodate tourists, for a fee, for one or more nights, and which include certain services (Tourism Code – Article D324-3)

Registering your guesthouse 

If you wish to let out one or more guest rooms, you are required to register with the local council of the municipality where the property is located (Tourism Code – Article L.324-4). You must complete the Cerfa form no. 13566*02 directly online.

Listings and awards for guesthouses 

Unlike other types of accommodation, there is no official classification system for guesthouses, but there are certification schemes run by private networks; There is also a listing by the tourist office, which guarantees that the establishment has been inspected and offers high-quality services.

Brands, charters and quality labels have also been developed to recognise providers who meet quality standards and to indicate the quality of a service to consumers. The main existing labels are:

Declaring your tourist tax 

As a bed and breakfast owner, you are required to collect and pay the proceeds of the tourist tax in accordance with the provisions of this resolution.
Revenue from the tourist tax is intended to promote tourism in the local area or to fund measures for the protection and management of natural areas for tourism purposes within our region.
