Tourism labels: promote your business

Tourism quality marks are a true guarantee of quality, trust and visibility among visitors. They highlight your commitment to a professional welcome, a well-organised offering and a successful customer experience. Obtaining a label also means joining a recognised network and benefiting from better promotion of your business. Whether you are an accommodation provider, a restaurant owner, a leisure provider or a visitor attraction, labels are a key asset to help you stand out. Discover the schemes available and find the one that best suits your business.

Accueil Vélo label

The ‘Accueil vélo’label recognises establishments located within 5 km of a cycle route and equipped with suitable facilities (secure bike storage, repair kits, etc.).  These establishments must also offer services tailored to cycling tourists, such as luggage transfer, laundry and drying facilities, equipment hire, etc.

By becoming an Accueil Vélo© establishment:

You join a network of over 4,000 professionals;
You will target a new clientele with high purchasing power;
You gain visibility through a presence on the francevelotourisme.com website;
You will be listed on the Tourist Office website as well as on the Hérault Tourisme website;
You will be identified on site by a special plaque.

The Business Support Service is here to assist you in obtaining this label.

Tourism and Disability Label

The ‘Tourisme et Handicap’ state-approved label is a response to the needs of people with disabilities who want to be able to choose their holidays and leisure activities in complete freedom.

Tourisme et Handicap serves as proof of a concrete commitment and a guarantee of an effective and appropriate welcome. The logo, displayed at the entrance to tourist sites, establishments and facilities and on all documents, provides people with disabilities with reliable, consistent and objective information on accessibility according to their disability (hearing, mental, mobility, visual) through four pictograms.

For tourism professionals, this represents a competitive advantage.

The Accessibility Service will assist you in the process of obtaining the label.

Gîtes de France certification

Gîtes de France is a leading national quality mark in the field of tourist accommodation. Established in 1955, it promotes holiday cottages, guesthouses, group accommodation and unique lodgings that meet stringent criteria for comfort, quality and hospitality.

The classification of accommodation using a star rating system helps identify the level of service offered, serving as a mark of trust and quality for tourists.

Being awarded the Gîtes de France label allows you to join a structured network and highlight your commitment to quality and local tourism development.

Family Plus label

Clévacances label

Clévacances is a national quality scheme dedicated to holiday rentals and guesthouses. It recognises accommodation that meets stringent criteria in terms of comfort, facilities, quality of service and reliability.

Accommodation bearing the label is subject to regular inspection visits and is classified using a star rating system that clearly identifies the level of service offered. The label serves as a recognised benchmark for tourists seeking quality accommodation.

Joining the Clévacances network also allows you to benefit from national recognition and to highlight your commitment to quality and the professionalisation of your tourism offering.

Destination of Excellence Award

The ‘Destination d’Excellence’ label was created by Atout France to recognise tourism stakeholders committed to a comprehensive quality approach. It covers the entire range of tourism services: accommodation, restaurants, cultural and leisure sites, tourist information facilities such as tourist offices, as well as transport services.

Beyond the quality of the welcome and the services offered to visitors, this label also emphasises stricter criteria regarding sustainable development and eco-responsible commitment.

Since May 2024, the ‘Destination d’excellence’ label has officially replaced the ‘Qualité Tourisme’ brand.

Hotels, campsites, holiday cottages, self-catering accommodation, guesthouses, holiday residences, holiday villages and holiday centres, youth hostels and restaurants are committed to an effective environmental approach, with the aim of continuously improving towards the best practices recommended by the Clef Verte eco-label.

Developed in France since 1998, the Clef Verte label is, by virtue of the number of certified establishments and its long history, the leading eco-label for tourist establishments in France.
