The big annual Muscat festival is back for its 38th edition, which also celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Muscat de Frontignan AOP!
With your 2026 edition glass in hand, enjoy tastings with the various winemakers of Frontignan.
It’s the perfect opportunity to (re)discover your favorite wine and make your selection before buying directly from the producer. Two days of festivities right in the heart of town, featuring games for kids, a cake contest, open-air cafés, live music, surprises, and more.
On the schedule:
SATURDAY, JULY 18
- Starting at 5:30 p.m.: arrival of the Muscat by boat at Quai Voltaire, cannon shot, and the traditional Muscat parade.
- Starting at 6:00 p.m.: Official opening followed by the start of sales of the €6 kits, tasting booths, and festivities (Flavors Market, “Temps Jadis” open-air dance hall, children’s area, face painting, Ferris wheel, carousel, live music, and more).
- 6:30 p.m.: Induction ceremony for the Commanderie des Torsades, Place de l’Hôtel de Ville. 7:00 p.m.: Opening of the Central Bar wine bar, Place de l’Hôtel de Ville.
- 7:30 p.m.: Giant karaoke session for “Moi je veux vivre à Frontignan” (lyrics available on site), Place Jean-Jaurès.
- 8:15 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.: Concert by the Frontignan band Les Fussoirs, Place Jean-Jaurès.
- 9:00 p.m.: Dance hosted by the Temps Jadis association, Place Combettes.
SUNDAY, JULY 19
- 9:00 a.m.: Carré boules competition, around City Hall.
- Starting at 10:00 a.m.: Festival opening, entertainment, and parade of the brotherhoods (starting at the Salle de l’Aire). From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: musical processions at Place Jean-Jaurès and Place Vieille Poste.
- From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Introduction to traditional Occitan dances by the Temps Jadis association at Place Combettes.
- From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Opening of the Bodega des Halles at Place du Château.
- 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.: Parades of jousters through the city center for the heavy/medium-weight tournament. 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Musical processions
