Description
Straight from Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, Bruno Cortot, a painter, poet, and illustrator, and Gilles Vernay, a metal sculptor, are exhibiting at the Chapelle des Pénitents in Sète for one week.
Both artists present works full of humor and poetry that are sure to evoke the simplicity of sharing and a certain art of living.
Among the works on display are Bruno Cortot’s “Cat-Monks”—playful and somewhat mischievous little felines—and his “Personanimots,” anthropomorphic animals whose titles are just as important as the drawings themselves.
On the sculpture side, Gilles Vernay enchants with flowers and animals so light that one forgets the metal and its welds.
