Description

Among the traditional Occitan festivities organized by the City, in partnership with local associations, the Festival of the Sea and the return of Saint Paul the Navigator mark a major reunion between the town’s residents and “their” Mediterranean. It is also an opportunity to highlight the “Océan Viking,” a ship operated by the association SOS Méditerranée, which rescues migrants at sea. This year, the Fête de la Mer will have a Spanish theme. On the program: - 9 a.m.: Mass at Saint-Paul Church. - 10:30 a.m.: Procession to embark the statue of Saint Paul the Navigator from Saint-Paul Church to the Quai des Jouteurs. - 11:30 a.m.: Embarkation and departure from Quai Alary to the marina. - 6:30 p.m.: Return of Saint Paul—procession from Quai des Jouteurs, celebration at Saint Paul Church followed by an evening of Spanish traditions, music, and food at Square de la Liberté. Also: %C0 6:00 p.m.: dinner organized by the Club les Solidaires Intergénérations, courtyard of the Maison des Seniors Vincent-Giner, Rue Anatole-France.
