A playful tribute to the performing arts Edith Amsellem takes over the Théâtre Molière for a celebration of the performing arts. A unique and playful journey into the heart of the theater? “You’re Here” is an invitation to celebrate what brings us together—the audience—in one place: the auditorium of the Théâtre Molière. Theater, dance, and music—behind the scenes This show, blending theater, dance, and music, takes you behind the scenes—into the backstage world of those dream machines known as theater stages. On stage, a Master of Ceremonies, a dancer-choreographer, and a young actress share their lives as artists with the audience, freely invoking great figures of the performing arts: Pina Bausch, Romeo Castellucci, Angelica Liddell, Ariane Mnouchkine, Claude Régy. The staff of the national theater are also involved—revealing a few secrets of the venue, while allowing chance and magic to take their place in the performance. Edith Amsellem – Cie ERd’O Originally from Marseille, Edith Amsellem trained in dance and then in theater before developing work focused on theatrical forms in public spaces. In 2012, she founded the ERd’O company, whose immersive and participatory productions explore the connections between fiction, reality, and social issues, with a particular focus on the role of women and gender issues.
