Description
A historic garden in the heart of the city
Created at the end of the 19th century, the Jardin du Château - now Parc Simone Veil - is one of the few French-style gardens in Sète. Its 1.6 hectares of century-old trees, flowerbeds, shady paths and lawns create a restful, verdant setting, rare in the city's dense urban fabric.
A remarkable sculptural heritage
The park is home to several statues and works of art integrated into the landscape, including the Monument aux Morts by sculptor Paul Roussel. Ponds, fountains and a grotto complete a highly coherent heritage, typical of Belle Époque public gardens.
A living space for all
Whether you're a family, a stroller, a reader or a picnicker, the Parc Simone Veil is a living space in its own right in the heart of Sète. Benches and lawns welcome locals and visitors alike, all year round.
