Refund the tourist tax

The tourist tax is a local tax levied on travellers staying in tourist accommodation: self-catering holiday lets, holiday homes, hotels, guesthouses, holiday villages or campsites.

It is collected by the accommodation provider on behalf of the local council or inter-municipal authority, and then paid to local authorities to fund tourism development, infrastructure and services for visitors.

The Welcome Guide Information Reception and Dissemination Scheme (SADI)

Not all visitors to a destination automatically go to the Tourist Office to get personalised advice during their stay.

So, how can we ensure that information reaches them?

The Welcome and Information Dissemination Plan (SADI) is the term given to the strategy adopted by tourist regions that are developing an approach or project centred on welcoming visitors both within and outside the tourist office, across the destination and its resorts.

It is based on taking into account the customer journey, their expectations and their habits.

The aim of this plan is to develop a comprehensive welcome strategy for the Archipel de Thau destination and to create a complete and coherent map of access to tourist information across the entire region and throughout the customer journey.

In 2024, the Tourist Office developed its SADI, which was then presented to the destination’s professionals.

Objective: to provide our visitors with the most comprehensive information possible, wherever they are.

This section includes several tools and resources to assist with visitor services.
