Description
As part of the %ABCette mer en moi%BB festival, dedicated to world music, the TMS Sète invites you to %E0 kick off the festivities with a traditional dance party hosted by the group Oyna K. A fun, dance-filled evening at the Foyer du Théâtre Molière—free admission and open to everyone.
Oyna K: Balkan music for dancing
Composed of four musicians— Isabel Sokol-Oxman (violin, gadulka, vocals), Akram Cha%EFb (clarinet), Adrien S%E9guy (accordion), and Pol Small (tapan)? Oyna K draws from the traditional repertoires of Thrace, Bulgaria, and Macedonia, reinterpreting them in a lively, modern acoustic style. The result: organic, infectious music, tailor-made for dancing.
A World Music Highlight
This dance is the festive kickoff to the “Cette mer en moi” event, which continues over the following days with concerts by Tarakna, Soleil d’Hiver, Thessalonik, and Cocanha. That same evening, at 7 p.m., Franck Tenaille will give a lecture on world music, migration, and exile at the François Mitterrand Media Library in Sète.
