CINÉMA : JUSTIN LE JUSTE

The Le Piano Tiroir Cultural Center in Balaruc-les-Bains invites you to its movie screening of *Justin le Juste*, Eric Barbier’s film inspired by Jean Pompougnac’s novel. War is an unknown land to which Justin, a destitute farmer, is sent—at a time when he should be tending his fields. He must go off to fight, in the name of a law he knows nothing about, against an enemy he has never seen, even though all he dreams of is staying on his farm. His encounter with Basile, a Senegalese infantryman, will open his eyes to this war he does not understand. It is alongside him that he will rebel against the injustices of an absurd chain of command and become a hero unlike any other. Starring Alban Ivanov and Birane Ba, with Alexandra Lamy, *Justin the Just* is a moving and humanistic war drama, photographed by Thierry Arbogast and featuring a score by Renaud Barbier. Runtime: 1h50 ? Audience: All ages
