Simone Veil Park, on July 20, 2026, at 9:30 p.m. Snippets of life, flashes of childhood, passion and joy—an intimate and vibrant French chanson, carried by a rare voice and three exceptional musicians.
A veteran artist with 22 albums and 350 songs
Michèle Bernard has been one of the great voices of French chanson for over forty years—songwriter, composer, performer, and accordionist. 22 albums, 350 compositions, three Charles Cros Awards—and an unwavering loyalty to a certain vision of song: intimate, literary, sensual, and rooted in life.
“Miettes”: An Introspective Journey Laying It All Bare
After the release of her complete discography in 2021, Michèle Bernard looked back with tenderness and wonder at the path she had traveled, and waited for desire to beckon her. Here is *Miettes*—fragments of life tossed about in the chaos of the world, full of animals, childhood, fury, and flashes of joy that bear witness to the beauty of life. A deliberately stripped-down style, focused on the essentials, punctuated only occasionally by her red accordion.
Three exceptional musicians
Michèle Bernard is accompanied by Pascal Berne on double bass, Nicolas Frache on guitars, and David Venitucci on accordion—under the direction of Hervé Peyrard. A refined and invigorating musical setting that brings the words to life.
