Description
Judith Chomel - Compagnie des %C9tourneaux
To bring her album *La Vie rocambolesque de L%E9on Plouhinec* to the stage, author and illustrator Judith Chomel teams up with a musician and an actor. Together, they draw us into a whimsical and poetic world made of cut-out paper, handmade contraptions, and delicately crafted musical compositions.
In the letters he writes to his four daughters, Léon Plouhinec, a lighthouse keeper, recounts his solitary, austere life, centered on the sea and contemplation. But behind this apparent tranquility lies an unexpected whirlwind: without ever leaving his post, he experiences a thousand adventures. Russian cosmonauts, British secret agents, eccentric scientists… a parade of unlikely characters emerges in his windswept tower.
Like their hero, the artists display a joyful inventiveness, flirting with gentle madness, to bring Léon Plouhinec’s adventures to life and cast doubt on their veracity.
