Stéphanie Fuster - Cie Rediviva
Stéphanie Fuster tells the story of flamenco through movement, words, and laughter. She declares her love for it in a show that takes the form of a playful, interactive lecture, revealing to us the mythology, practice, mysteries, and beauty of this sublime art—the most vibrant and most human of all.
%AB For a long time now, it has come naturally to me, during performances, to talk about flamenco, my intimate connection to this art form, and to engage with the audience about the imagination it evokes. These conversations—filled with stories, anecdotes, gestures, and shared experiences—were the seeds of *Parler Flamenco*. This recorded lecture retains the warmth and intimacy of those exchanges.
By tracing the journey of a French artist with roots in the Spanish Republican exile who immersed herself in flamenco, I explore the foundations of this art form, its codes, its contradictions, and what makes it so fascinating. Inspired by the tenderness of Véronique Doisneau in Jérôme Bel’s work, I attempt here to express in words and movement the richness and vitality of flamenco, to open its doors, share its depth, and convey its beauty—far from the stereotypes that sometimes make it seem like a discipline reserved only for the initiated. %BB Stéphanie Fuster
