Description
Located near the Chapelle du Quartier Haut, in the heart of the old town.
Betty Belaud-Yvon’s work with colour consists of patchwork pictures and her work with shapes comprises sculptures and models in raw, coloured or mixed clays. All of her works draw on folk art, naive art or primitive art, using traditional firing methods.
She works without a loom, using animal or plant fibres and fabric the way a painters uses a palette of colours. The resulting creations are works of art in their own right.
Betty is also a talented sculptor and model maker. Her technical skill and the personal way in which she combines a variety of cultural influences make her pieces highly original.
Exhibitions. Works done to order.
