The Mediterranean Sea was not a safe place in the 16th century. For years, the dreaded Barberoussette and his shipwrecking pirate companions had been wreaking havoc along the coast of Sète.
Captured in 1586, Barberoussette, whose real name was Gaspar Dot, never betrayed the hiding place of his treasure! Is it hidden in the woods of Mont Saint-Clair or on the banks of the canals? No one has ever found it!

Approx. 1h30 walk along the canals and in the Haut district.
For families aged 3/4 and over. Climbs along the way, but can be bypassed.
