Description
Frontignan?s Plage des Aresquiers is the easternmost beach of the seaside resort. This beach is also in the municipality of Vic-la-Gardiole (part to the northeast). The south-western part is supervised in summer (along the beach road - several large parking lots). The northern part is wilder, with areas reserved for naturists (see map - more difficult to park in summer). On the other hand, the beach in this area is very narrow and made up mainly of pebbles (see photos).
The part closest to Frontignan is sandy, with several parking lots for easy access. This is the most pleasant area, with sand and dunes. Please note that access is by stairs (not accessible for people with reduced mobility). At the far end, before crossing the bridge over the Canal du Rhône à Sète, there is a small parking lot leading to a wilder beach. Depending on the location, pebbles can be found on the upper part of the beach. On the other hand, this area is rather naturist (except for the area around the vacation center).
Lifeguard station open from June 28 to August 31 inclusive, from 11:00 am to 6:30 pm.
