An exceptional 360° panorama
On a clear day, you can see the Pyrenees. From the summit: a view spanning more than 180°—from Bouzigues and the oyster beds all the way to the lighthouses of Sète. You can enjoy the panoramic view of the Pierres Blanches Forest, the Thau Lagoon and its oyster and mussel farms, the mountain ranges of the hinterland, as well as the strip of dunes between the sea and the lagoon that connects Sète to Agde.
A site steeped in history and culture
The site is home to the Notre-Dame de la Salette Chapel. The chapel, built on the ruins of a 17th-century military fort, adds a touch of mysticism to the experience. At the summit, an orientation table helps visitors find their bearings amid this exceptional Mediterranean panorama.
The Pierres Blanches Forest—Sète’s “green lung”
The Pierres Blanches Forest, with its 20 hectares of pine groves and home to more than 700 plant species—some of which are very rare and were brought backby sailors, serves as Sète’s green lung and offers beautiful walks enhanced by magnificent panoramic views. It is crisscrossed by numerous hiking trails and features benches and picnic tables thoughtfully placed throughout.
Trails for all skill levels
The route is quite varied—narrow streets, forest trails, and coastal paths. It offers various viewpoints of the town of Sète, the Thau Lagoon, the salt flats separating the lagoon from the Mediterranean Sea, and the harbor.
