Samuel Covel may be a promising artist on the French song scene today, but he could just as easily have been one in other aesthetics: Samuel is as much unbridled folk and experimental rock as he is chanson. His lyrics, chiselled from the heart of a deep poetry, melt into the heady echoes of a flamboyant guitar, creating an ever-balancing setting.
