ArchiPol, with his quirky allure and his toile de Jouy suit, shakes up the codes of French chanson, each song an island to explore, blending tenderness, irony and sharp observation of the human condition. Trained at London's Royal College of Music, he combines British elegance with a love of French chanson. Winner of several awards (including the Plume d'Or and the Prix du Public at the Trophée Brassens 2025), in 2023 he released an album entitled "Au naturel", recorded entirely on magnetic tape, a far cry from the all-digital world. His songs, often seemingly light-hearted, actually tackle deep and sometimes dark themes, with finesse and off-beat flair. In short: a chiselled pen, a singular ambience and a French chanson that's tender, piquant and off the beaten track.
