Description
L'écho littéraire welcomes artists, authors and musiciansYou'll meet Robert Lobet, a painter and engraver, for a conversation about his artist's books and his exhibition "Héritages traces et mémoires". The architectures and landscapes we travel through are combined with an ancient attraction to books, whether antique scrolls, grimoires or bibliophile marvels. This curiosity is revealed by the book Voyages en Alexandrie, produced with the Atelier du Livre d?Art et de l?Estampe de l?Imprimerie Nationale, texts by Bruno Doucey. Drawing and engraving, at the root of every project, inscribe on paper the evocation of a place or an emotion. Painting with ink and pigment purifies the motif, right down to the sign. The work questions the meaning of history, of vanished civilizations in the depth of planes and materials. (exhibition from September 2 to November 31, 2025 - opening on September 20 at 11:30 a.m.)Alain Rollat will share with us "Mémoires du center du monde", his latest book in which, as a memorialist, he delivers an original diagnosis of the state of French society, combining his experience as a journalist at Le Monde and his life as a citizen in the Catalan village of Coustouges. On the subject of memory, Manuela Parra will take you on a journey in the footsteps of women in the Resistance, through her forthcoming book Lettres aux Absentes, and in particular in the footsteps of Suzanne Houles, a committed member of the Resistance in Balaruc les Bains. We'll also have the pleasure of listening to poet Frédéric Fautrier in an intimate dialogue with reality, rejecting mediocrity and banality in all their forms, the evidence of a normality and uniformity that increasingly impoverishes and alienates human beings, distancing them from nature and from themselves.Nathalie Bouly, a passionate literary columnist committed to promoting culture and literature, will host this encounter, which will be punctuated by music from Les âmes nomades, a jazz duo featuring saxophonist Baptiste Gélineau and double bassist Joan Eche Puig.
