Natacha Atlas & Samy Bishai ? Parallel Universe
An iconic figure in world music, Natacha Atlas forged her reputation as part of Transglobal Underground before building an international solo career spanning 15 albums and prestigious collaborations with Peter Gabriel, Nitin Sawhney, Jean-Michel Jarre, Ibrahim Maalouf, and Omar Sosa. With *Parallel Universe*, she presents her brand-new creation—a jazz-electro quartet—produced by the Egyptian-British violinist Samy Bishai. A parallel universe with soulful inspirations tinged with Eastern flavors, oscillating between dystopian cyberpunk, ethereal synthpop, and post-Mahragan Arab hip-hop? carried by Natacha’s ornate and magnetic voice, counterpointed by Samy Bishai’s incandescent electric violin.
Labess? Dima Libre Tour
Formed in 2004 by Nedjim Bouizzoul, Labess has been offering a diverse, vibrant, and soulful sound for twenty years—drawing on the artist’s Algerian roots and his years in Quebec. A fusion of chaabi, rumba, and flamenco, carried by sparkling brass and the powerful chemistry of a band at the top of its game. Dima Libre, their fifth album released in 2024, means “always free” in Arabic—a collective, resounding cry, a hymn to freedom in a world that lacks it. The magic of live performance—Labess’s DNA since its inception.
