A day of celebration from morning until night
Starting at 10 a.m., the “penas”—those festive brass bands from the South—will take over Parc Sévigné for a grand parade lasting until 1 p.m. At noon, enjoy complimentary aperitifs, tielles, tapas, and shellfish. The afternoon shifts to Charles de Gaulle Park for the “penas” parade at 4:30 p.m., the official presentation of the groups at 6:00 p.m., and at 9:00 p.m., a dinner dance with Fabrice, hosted by the IK Danse association.
The Christian Massol Challenge—a competition between penas
The “penas” compete to win the Christian Massol Challenge—a festive contest that rewards the best group of the day, in an atmosphere of good cheer and camaraderie.
A regional dinner at 8 p.m.
Evening menu: spit-roasted ham hock, baby potatoes, dessert—wine not included. Refreshments available on site all day.
