Description
Immerse yourself in Polynesian culture at the Festival of Polynesia, an exceptional event organized by the Wallis and Futuna Sports and Cultural Association on August 7, 8, and 9, 2026, in Villeveyrac.
For three days, residents and visitors are invited to fully immerse themselves in the traditions, flavors, and rhythms of the Pacific Islands.
The program features a rich and varied lineup: Polynesian folk dances with introductory sessions for everyone, impressive Haka demonstrations, a live band, and a festive musical atmosphere.
Craft booths will delight visitors with Polynesian sculptors and tattoo artists, while the island food stalls will offer cocktails and exotic fruit juices for the whole family to enjoy.
Iconic figures from the Polynesian sports world will be in attendance, including Uini Atonio, Peato Mauvaka, and Ma’a Nonu.
Friday kicks off with an official opening ceremony at 10 a.m., Saturday features a mass and traditional songs followed by a grand Polynesian evening, and Sunday brings the festivities to a close at 7 p.m. with entertainment for everyone.
