Description

A highlight of M%E8ze’s summer calendar, the Saint-Pierre Festival brings together residents and visitors every year for a weekend filled with maritime traditions, music, and Mediterranean hospitality. On Saturday, June 27, the day kicks off at 2:30 p.m. with a family fair in the Cour des Pénitents, featuring games, activities, a clown, and a show at 4:30 p.m. for children (ages 6 and up). In the evening, a traditional parade will depart from Saint-Hilaire Church at 7:30 p.m., before the Cour des Pénitents transforms into a music stage at 8:00 p.m. with the Peña de Villeveyrac, followed by the Guitares de Camargue (15 ?). A brasucade and a refreshment stand round out the festive atmosphere under the stars. On Sunday, June 28, the day takes on a more contemplative tone with a solemn Mass at 10:30 a.m. and a procession to the port at 11:30 a.m. to pay tribute to the sailors lost in the Étang de Thau. The afternoon then comes alive with a grand festive meal (cuttlefish in rouille sauce, 20 ?) and an afternoon dance hosted by the Julien Orchestra.
