Description

To mark the 78th anniversary of the Grand Pardon de la Saint-Pierre, the Sète-Môle Fishermen’s Association rolled up its sailor’s sleeves to put together a truly enticing program of festivities. The patron saint of seafarers will be celebratedcome rain or shine, despite increasingly strict safety regulations, as families from Sète head out to sea to lay floral tributes to those who never returned. One cannot speak of tradition in Sète without mentioning Saint Peter, the patron saint of fishermen. Processions, torchlight processions under the watchful eye of the statue of Saint Peter, jousting tournaments... A must-see is the procession at sea of boats decked out in festive decorations for the blessing in memory of missing sailors. Program to be announced
