The Sète Secours Populaire committee celebrates its 40th anniversary. Secours Populaire in Sète represents four decades of volunteer work for those in need.
Over the years, the association - recognized as a public utility - has diversified its activities. In addition to emergency parcels and food aid, it provides access to culture, offers literacy classes and promotes vacations for all. Despite a reduction in subsidies, which is causing difficulties, its mission remains the same: solidarity, dignity and welcome.This 40th anniversary celebration, open to all, will take place at its premises at 15 quai Rhin-et-Danube in Sète.
On the program: Wednesday morning, June 10, for children: writing workshop, scrabble. Recreational afternoon with games and funfair;Thursday June 11, food distribution day, in the morning, scrabble initiation (adults); from 4 p.m., open music and poetry stage;Friday June 12, in the morning, memory workshop and Pop Café, from 3 p.m., fashion show
Pop Mode fashion show; Saturday June 13, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. non-stop, Grande Braderie (clothes, knick-knacks, linen, toys, books, etc.); Saturday June 27, 5 p.m., solidarity drink open to all.
Until June 27, visit the exhibition on the 80th anniversary of Secours Populaire Français on the days and during the hours when the office is open.
