Les Musicales de Gigean: A New Cultural Event Under the Stars
This year, the City of Gigean is launching Les Musicales de Gigean, a new summer event dedicated to live music in the idyllic setting of the Denis Badault Open-Air Theater.
For this first edition, the public is invited to discover La Jovial Guiguinche on Saturday, July 11, at 9 p.m.
Formed by musicians from the worlds of jazz and improvised music, this collective offers a warm and festive musical journey through the traditions of the world. Throughout the set, the accordion, guitar, and percussion skillfully blend Balkan rhythms, Latin American melodies, Mediterranean influences, and traditional tunes from our regions.
Driven by the energy of a folk dance and the spirit of a guinguette, the trio—composed of Guilhem Verger (accordion), Hervé Duret (guitar), and Maxime Rouayroux (drums and percussion), invites the audience to share a convivial moment filled with music, dancing, and good cheer.
Through this new cultural event, the municipality aims to offer musical evenings accessible to all, promoting artistic discovery and shared experiences in a natural and welcoming setting.
Join us on Saturday, July 11, at 9:00 p.m. at the Théâtre de Verdure Denis Badault, behind the Marie de Montpellier Hall. Free admission.
