MIROUFLETTE ET CIE - Pop-Up and Animated Shapes
(Four lively traditional tales come together to form a story about living together)
For children ages 6 and up
The Théâtre de Poche’s review: Mirouflette is a delicate and inventive show that captivates children with the subtlety of its stage writing. Through an ingenious set design and highly precise object manipulation, Sybille Bligny brings to life a poetic, clear, and sensitive world. With humor and imagination, she reimagines our most famous fairy tales and, all by herself, embodies a multitude of characters, brilliantly showcasing a delightful range of voices.
It’s a playful reimagining and reappropriation of our most famous fairy tales. The audience delights in seeing these familiar stories unfold, knowing in advance what fate awaits the characters. The wolf is a recurring theme throughout the show. And here again, I offer a cheerful array of voices.
Four animals with colds move in with the wolf. Down there, a sassy little girl stirs up trouble among the bears. Meanwhile, a little pig—a construction whiz and master of evasion—forces the poor wolf onto a diet.
As you can see, this show plays with classic children’s tales and helps keep them alive and vibrant.
Told through pop-up theater, these timeless and delightfully cheeky neighborhood stories have made it their mission to bring us together with joy and lightheartedness!
