Nicolas Bacchus does us the honor of inaugurating the new Red Whale. We love his songs, his commitments and his battles.As he plays collectively, with Bacchanales Production, he presents several artists, and we dream of a partnership with the baleine rouge where we could welcome them for an artistic residency.Libéré, libertin, libertaire: LIBRE Nicolas BACCHUS hasn't released an album in 10 years, but he hasn't been idle about it, from productions for others to filmed concerts, from parody shows to organizing collective stages.Here, at last, is a 6th album in the shape of an anniversary, in which he still strives to take the COUNTERPIRT of the "right" ways of doing things, living or loving, distrusting one-size-fits-all thinking and the commonplaces of the moment, going against the expectations and clichés of the times. Even if it's difficult, when going through the storms of life, to continue talking politics, ass, freedom, in an offbeat, parodic or second-degree way, without confusing it with reality, which is often caricatured in the first place. So, to rediscover anger and smiles in the same movement, to exorcise with a kick in the ass and vengeful refrains... and have a good laugh, anyway, because you don't want to push it.Lyrically, the album is a mix of poems set to music (Brecht on this occasion), covers of more or less well-known classics (from Vissotski to Frédéric Bobin), intimate personal lyrics, provocative or funny, even more or less perfidious, "poélitiques ou homosensuels", in any case liberated and libertarian: free. Selected colleagues (Manu Galure, Eric Mie, Lucarne, Erwan Temple) have also contributed a few texts... The range is therefore both coherent in discourse and varied in form and origin, which should ensure that the demanding listener is not overly bored. What's more, admission is free too!
