3. Heritage by the sea

Shaped by centuries of interaction with the Mediterranean, the Thau Archipelago bears the marks of a rich maritime heritage. Lighthouses, seaside theatres, old fishermen’s huts, chapels facing the open sea, fortifications and places of remembrance tell the story of the sailors, fishermen and builders who shaped the coastline. A living heritage to explore, where every stone and every quay holds the memory of the sea.
