Focus on the Tourist Office’s initiatives

Since 2022, the Tourist Office has placed sustainable tourism at the heart of its development strategy. This ambition has been reinforced by the Tourism Development Plan adopted in 2023, which makes the ecological transition a key priority in building a sustainable destination of excellence in the Mediterranean.

Research and monitoring

In 2025, the municipalities of the Thau Archipelago recorded 10 million tourist overnight stays :

  • 70.5% French tourists (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Île-de-France and Occitanie)
  • 29.5% foreign tourists (Germany, Switzerland, Spain)

Figures similar to those of 2024 despite a slight decline (-0.9%) in French tourists in favour of foreign tourists.

The economic impact for the region amounts to 1.4billion.
