In the heart of the historical heritage of Mireval, on small blocks consisting entirely of Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, lies Les Clos de Miège. Florence Monferran, a wine historian has initiated a return to the old ways, growing Muscat grapes naturally, and making the history books come alive. Our first vintage, L'Originel, a naturally sweet wine, is in the tradition of Muscat wines before the widespread use of Vin Doux Naturel (no stopping fermentation here), and is respectful of the grapes and the consumer.
